Thank you for sharing your project ideas! We find them very interesting and would be happy to become your partner in realizing them. Our organization – Business Incubator – Gotse Delchev, is a Bulgarian non-for-profit in public benefit experienced in support of entrepreneurship, rural development and tourism. BI-GD works actively towards a complex green and digital transformation and sustainability in tourism through development, piloting and deployment of innovative educational programmes, incl. VET, creating training resources and providing consultancy for tourism start-ups and SMEs, reaching out various groups, promoting innovative and sustainable economy and engaging stakeholders in supportive ecosystems.

Our organization, Business Incubator – Gotse Delchev, Entrepreneurship Promotion Centre (BI-GD), Bulgaria, is actively engaged with promoting sustainable tourism and supporting of rural communities. That is why your EURO-MED project idea on Accessible EcoTourism captured our interest.
As a business supporting organization, working already 25 years for socio-economic development on regional, national and EU level, BI-GD has built a portfolio of actions and projects, encompassing building capacity for sustainable and social entrepreneurship, incl. in tourism, circular economy, innovations and new technologies, and creating conditions for rural development based on cultural and natural heritage, agri and eco-tourism. We are really interested to join you in this project, being located in a rural touristic area, that is looking for more sustainable governance and practice. Our organization Business Incubator – Gotse Delchev , Bulgaria, works already 25 years in the fields of rural development and sustainable tourism. We have implemented many projects on these topics under various programmes, here are just some of them: Zero-Impact Cultural Heritage Event Network, Diversification and Promotion of Tourist Products and Services in the High Western Rhodopes, Networking and transfer of knowledge for sustainable economic tourism development – NET-TOUR. I would like to present you briefly our organization – BIGD, and to express our interest to potentially join you in a consortium. We are a Bulgarian non-for-profit business supporting organization with more than 20 years of experience in the fields of social entrepreneurship, agri-food sector, sustainable tourism and others. Currently we are working on developing an entrepreneurial support system for agricultural SMEs in the cross-border area (Interreg GR-BG), we have experience in building a transdisciplinary network supporting new entrant in agriculture, utilizing business and new-entry models (under H2020), we have expertise in evaluating and monitoring of a regional agri-food cluster, in growing capacity for smart specialization of the agri-sector, in promoting cross-sectoral collaboration of agri and tourist sectors and more. We have also experience in a number of projects supporting social entrepreneurship and green economy (Iterreg DTP, Erasmus+, national OP).

Let me present you our organization and express our interest in this project idea. We are Business Incubator – Gotse Delchev, Bulgarian non-for-profit, working in support of entrepreneurship for more than 20 years. We have long term experience in the area of sustainable tourism development under various EU programmes (CBC, Interreg IVC, Erasmus, national OP, etc.), – in diversification and promotion of tourist products and services in a waterland area, building capacity and environmentally-conscious entrepreneurial behavior in tourism, valorization of the cultural heritage in tourism, in creative and experiential tourism, cross-sectoral links (e.g. tourism – agri and food sectors), smart specialization, and many others. We initiated the development of the cross-border tourist association along the Mesta river and networks strengthening collaboration between SMEs in tourist sector and other complementary sectors. Furthermore, BIGD is working in the field of social economy, growing competences in social entrepreneurship and educating greener entrepreneurs.
