The Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM) brings together Interreg programmes to work more closely and make better use of resources in the Mediterranean. Starting in 2022, seven programmes are now involved.

The MMM has two main goals:

• Improve coordination in tracking and evaluating the impact of successful practices and innovative solutions tested locally. This helps create connections between projects, making it easier to transfer, expand, and integrate effective solutions;
• Strengthen policy recommendations under Interreg to maximize the long-term impact and sustainability of investments in different regions. This includes improving project quality and sharing valuable knowledge, particularly on sustainable tourism.
