Anti-fraud Policy

If you detect or suspect a case of illegal activity, fraud or corruption (or a conflict of interest that could constitute a risk of fraud) you must report it. Various channels are available for this purpose, including the following:

  • The dedicated email address of the Programme is managed by the JS Coordinator: alert_med@maregionsud.fr and can be used in one of the two languages of the Programme. The email should describe, as clearly and accurately as possible, the facts reported. The data transmitted must be relevant, adequate and measured. An alert from a person who wishes to remain anonymous may be processed provided that the seriousness of the facts mentioned is established and that the factual elements reported are sufficiently detailed, precise and evidenced to justify any administrative intervention by the Programme.

The Managing Authority has a zero tolerance policy towards fraud and corruption. As each ETC Programme finances projects through EU and public funding, we are committed to protecting the EU and public funds that have been entrusted to us. Therefore, we wish to be clearly perceived as opposed to fraud and corruption.

Protection of whistleblowers
The protection of whistle-blowers has been validated as a working principle by the Programme representatives. Therefore, any transfer of information between the authorities concerned will be limited to a small and relevant number of persons and the confidentiality of the whistle-blower will be ensured at all stages of the processing.
