I am writing on behalf of Municipality of Heraklion of Crete (Greece), to express that we appreciate your idea. Heraklion is the capital of the island of Crete and the third largest city in Greece, with one of the most visited airports in the country, especially in the summer months. Due to its location and attributes faces extreme over-tourism phenomena, which fluctuate, thought the years. The main and obvious issue is overcrowded city, traffic jam, limited water resources, general potential urgent risks etc. We believe that multimodal solutions is the best way to attack this problem in a big city, thus we opt towards sustainable tourism, climate change, protecting the environment and promoting green living areas.
I am looking forward to hear from you and we are open to examine new innovative solutions/methods and technologies.Kind Regards,
Maria tsagkataki

I am writing on behalf of Municipality of Heraklion of Crete (Greece), to express that we are deeply interested in investing on disaster and risk management. It is currently a top priority because we are on very high-risk locality. Thus, we expect to develop strategies for all types of disasters and risks. Also beside strategies, we are looking to integrate systems such as GIS etc., and looking forward to examine new innovative solutions.

I understand your situation, but I like your idea. Please keep us in mind just in case you decide to apply in the future. I am writing on behalf of Municipality of Heraklion in Crete and we have very limited resources on freshwater and forest itself, which is already a very challenging and tricky topic. We are open to examine for any solutions.
