I am participating in the drafting of a project for this 2024 call. The project is related to the improvement of the prevention and management of risks arising from increased frequency and intensity of heatwaves in cities and regions of the Mediterranean basin.

We are looking for regional/national authorities, associations or network of cities with needs and/or experience on this topic (both from the health, climate change or urban perspective), that are willing to be part of a consortium.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I am writing to you on behalf of the International Relations Department of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB). We are the public administration governing a territory encompassing 3.3 million inhabitants and 36 municipalities, one of which, of course, is Barcelona. We have various responsibilities such as mobility and transport, waste management, water management, housing, environment and climate, and urban and social development, among others. In this regard, we operate as a strong government that implements several projects in our region and upholds core values such as sustainability and inclusivity.

In this context, we are interested in participating as a partner in an Interreg Euro-MED project, and your proposal sounds interesting. We as a Mediterranean city, are also facing severe climate change consequences such as heatwaves and a severe drought. For this reason, me and my team kindly ask for more information about your project proposal to better develop a conjoint partnership. My email is jarango@amb.cat.

    Many thanks

    Dear Manuel,

We are Gradionica, an organization of architects and planners specialized in topics related to sustainable development of urban areas, with years of experience in various projects addressing issues of sustainable development. We are keen to contribute to your project, both in drafting and its subsequent development upon approval.

Bar, Montenegro, is a coastal city facing challenges similar to many other tourist destinations. It is under constant pressure of overdevelopment, often without consideration for emerging climate changes. This leads not only to uncontrolled urbanization but also to heatwaves and frequent wildfires, impacting the wellbeing of its citizens.

You can review some of our previous projects on our website: http://www.gradionica.me. For further inquiries, please contact us at info@gradionica.me.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards,

    Goran
