Call 8
Thematic projects
This 8th call for proposals aims to select around 10 thematic projects for an overall budget of approximately €20 million.
Concerning three of the four missions of the Programme, Green Living Areas, Innovative Sustainable Economy and Natural Heritage, its guiding thread is ‘Advancing Territorial Resilience’.
As the projects lifespan will be of 24 months only, proposals should be action-oriented and results-driven. It means that they are expected to:
- Have a narrow defined scope, adressing a specific issue and territorial context;
- Prioritise on-the-ground implementation of pilot activities;
- Be sufficiently mature to ensure that results can be effectively translated into policies or practices and integrate prevention measures.
Programme priorities and specific objectives
The sustainable tourism mission is not open under this call, as it is the subject of a specific call this year.
Applying to the call
The Terms of reference, applicable for the three missions, will set out the specific criteria expected for this 8th Call for projects. They will be approved by the Programme Monitoring Committee in September 2026.
This 8th call for proposals will be carried out in a two-phase application process: a written application and an oral presentation.
Written applications are possible only during the dates of the call (see calendar below). Outside this period, no application will be considered. Pre-selected projects will then be requested for an oral presentation before the final selection is made. The Programme’s Monitoring Committee decides which projects to approve.
Written applications must be submitted online via Jems, the monitoring system developed by Interact. It is available for all applicants and partners at: https://jems.interreg-euro-med.eu/. To help you use Jems, you can read the user manual.
