Be ready for the Upcoming EU Events in 2024!

This year brings many exciting transnational and European events and initiatives. It’s crucial to prepare for participation as applications open soon. Here is a quick look at four key EU events to watch, along with dates for getting involved. Explore each event in detail to find your best fit and seize the opportunity to join in.

 

 

Green Week Conference

To understand the Water crisis!

This year, the EU Green week will be about how to make the EU more water resilient. Across the continent, regions are facing unprecedented water crises, from winter drought to destructive flooding. The event is the opportunity to learn more about the impact of climate change on water circle but also the importance of a good management of this central resource. Apart from the conference in Brussels, partners of the EU Green Week can also organise events to engage with citizens and raise awareness on the topic. Find more details here.

Europe Maritime Day

Welcome to Svendbord – Denmark!

The Municipality of Svendbord will host the 2024 edition of the Europe Maritime Day. This two-day event is the opportunity for any stakeholder to meet the Europe’s maritime community and exchange about maritime affairs and blue sustainable economy. The programme includes several conferences with high-level specialists as well as many workshops. The EMD exhibit will enable stakeholders to have a stand and showcase their innovative idea with their counter partners.

European Sustainable Energy Week

To talk about a Just Fair Transition!

One of the EU objectives is to become the 1st zero-carbon area in the world. The ESEW will bring together public authorities, private actors but also NGOs and consumers to exchange ideas and good practise. The event will take place online and on-site in Brussels. Several policy conferences are already scheduled, as well as the networking village and the EUSEW Awards. In order to involve as much people as possible, a few Sustainable Energy Days will be organized across Europe!

European Week of Regions and Cities

For Cohesion Policy lover!

The biggest event dedicated to cohesion policy comes back from 9 to 12 October in Brussels! A great variety of discussion sessions are already planned such as the role of local energy for security and sustainability, how to retain young graduates for a more sustainable regional growth, the Cohesion Policy post 2027 or even what role social innovation can have on local societies. Interreg will be represented in this central event for Cohesion policy because a special session is dedicated to cooperation programmes.
