Zero Waste Montenegro (ZWMNE) is a non-governmental organisation working to accelerate Montenegro’s transition towards a circular, low-waste and environmentally resilient society. We combine policy advocacy with practical, community-based solutions in the areas of waste prevention, reuse, circular economy, sustainable resource management and environmental education.
Within the Green Living Areas mission, ZWMNE is particularly interested in nature-based and community-led approaches that make cities greener, more resilient and inclusive. Our work includes urban gardens, community composting, waste prevention, circular solutions and citizen engagement.
We are currently exploring living lab concepts where environmental organisations, communities, public authorities and social initiatives can collaborate, test solutions and demonstrate practical approaches to a green and just urban transition. For Interreg Euro-MED, we are interested in partnerships focused on Green Living Areas, urban resilience, community-led green spaces, social innovation, circularity and transferable models for sustainable urban transformation.

Searching for consortium:
I would like to briefly introduce CEEO (Center for Energy, Energy Efficiency and Environment), a Bosnia and Herzegovina-based NGO and expert organization working on energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change, environmental protection and sustainable development.

We are currently implementing an Interreg Danube project and have previous experience with Interreg MED projects, including the implementation of an Interreg MED project in 2022. We are also currently implementing a circular economy project supported by the UNDP–Czech Challenge Fund, giving us relevant practical experience in this field.

In addition, CEEO has experience in urban planning and nature-based solutions through our previous URWAN project, which we see as particularly relevant to the “Greening living areas” topic.

Our team has extensive experience in developing EU project applications and in the implementation and management of EU-funded projects.

If you are planning to apply under the upcoming Interreg MED call and are building a consortium, we would be very interested in joining. We believe CEEO could bring relevant expertise and practical experience to the partnership, and we would be happy to discuss potential areas of cooperation.

We are reaching out to explore opportunities for cooperation on new Interreg project proposals that are currently being developed or planned for upcoming calls.

The Croatian Wood Cluster has experience in implementing international projects in the fields of forestry, the wood industry, bioeconomy, and sustainable resource management. We are currently involved in several Interreg projects that are approaching completion.

For future projects, we are interested in participating as a project partner, with clearly defined activities and responsibilities within the project consortium. Depending on the project objectives, we can contribute in particular through:

connecting companies, public authorities, research institutions, and other stakeholders from the wood and forestry sectors;
organizing workshops, expert events, study visits, and knowledge-transfer activities;
involving Croatian stakeholders in project and pilot activities;
collecting and exchanging sector-specific data, good practices, and expertise;
communication, dissemination of project results, and engagement with relevant stakeholders and the business sector.

We are particularly interested in projects related to the wood and forestry sectors, bioeconomy, circular economy, renewable energy, sustainable forest resource management, innovation, and new business models.
