    Hello,

    NGO Our Action (Naša akcija) is a Montenegro-based civil society organization with experience in environmental protection, community engagement, youth participation and volunteer action. We are based in the Bay of Kotor and are interested in joining a consortium for Interreg Euro-MED Call 8, particularly under the Green Living Areas mission / RSO 2.4 – climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention and resilience.

    We are interested in contributing as a Montenegro pilot and implementation partner to a transnational project focused on strengthening the resilience of coastal and local communities to climate-related and environmental risks.

    Our potential contribution could include:

    developing and testing community-based resilience approaches in the Bay of Kotor;

    engaging and training local volunteers, with a particular focus on young people and women;

    community-based assessment of environmental and climate-related risks;

    citizen participation and community preparedness;

    cooperation with municipalities, emergency-response actors, environmental organizations and other local stakeholders;

    practical pilot exercises and testing of community resilience measures;

    documenting lessons learned and contributing to transferable tools, recommendations and policy/practice guidance.

    Our particular added value is our local access to communities and civil-society networks in Montenegro, combined with experience in environmental and community initiatives. We can provide a concrete Mediterranean coastal territory in which a common methodology can be adapted, tested and evaluated under real local conditions.

    We are particularly interested in joining an existing or emerging consortium that already has a strong project concept and is seeking a Montenegro partner/pilot territory.

    We would be happy to share our organizational profile and discuss how the Bay of Kotor could contribute to a transnational project on climate adaptation, community resilience, disaster-risk prevention and participatory local action.

    Organization: NGO Our Action (Naša akcija), Montenegro
    Location: Bay of Kotor, Montenegro
    Role sought: Project partner / Montenegro pilot territory
    Relevant area: Green Living Areas – RSO 2.4
