    URBANA is an interdisciplinary urban research and design practice based in Athens, Greece. Rooted in feminist values, we work at the intersection of spatial research, social innovation, and architectural thinking to support more inclusive, caring, and equitable cities.

    Our work combines applied urban research, participatory processes, spatial strategies, public engagement, and capacity building. We design and facilitate co-creation processes, develop gender-responsive and care-centered frameworks and tools, and conduct qualitative and interdisciplinary research supporting inclusive urban transformation.

    With strong experience in EU-funded projects (Horizon, Erasmus+, LIFE, EUI), URBANA can contribute to projects within the “Innovative sustainable economy” mission by:
    – leading spatial and social research, co-creation, stakeholder and community engagement processes
    – applying participatory methodologies and tools in practice
    – supporting pilot actions through strategic design frameworks, roadmaps, and policy briefs
    – delivering capacity-building activities, workshops, and trainings
    – evaluating and documenting social impact

    We are open to co-developing project ideas or joining existing consortia, and are particularly interested in collaborations that value inclusion, participation, gender-responsive approaches, and collective pathways towards sustainable urban transformation.

    If interested, feel free to get in touch:

    Dear Evelina,

    CEEO would be very interested in exploring cooperation, as we see strong synergies between our experiences and expertise in sustainable urban transformation, participatory approaches, and innovative solutions for more resilient communities.

    The Centre for Energy, Energy Efficiency and Environment (CEEO) is a Bosnian NGO and expert organisation working on sustainable development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, environmental protection, and capacity building.

    CEEO has previous experience in implementing projects related to sustainable urban development, including the URWAN project, which focused on urban planning, nature-based solutions, and promoting more sustainable and resilient urban areas. Through URWAN and other EU-funded initiatives, CEEO gained practical experience in working with stakeholders, developing sustainable approaches for local communities, and promoting innovative solutions addressing environmental and urban challenges.

    Our relevant experience includes:
    1. supporting sustainable urban planning approaches and nature-based solutions;
    2. engaging local authorities, experts, and communities in participatory processes;
    3. developing recommendations, action plans, and practical tools for sustainable transformation;
    4. organising workshops, trainings, and knowledge-exchange activities;
    5. connecting climate, environmental, and energy aspects with local development needs.

    We believe that CEEO’s experience in combining environmental expertise, climate action, and community engagement could complement URBANA’s strong background in inclusive urban research, social innovation, and participatory design approaches.

    Within the Innovative Sustainable Economy mission, we would be interested in exploring cooperation on projects addressing:

    innovative models for sustainable and inclusive urban transformation;
    nature-based solutions and climate-resilient communities;
    integration of green transition principles into local development strategies;
    pilot actions, capacity building, and transfer of good practices among Mediterranean regions.

    CEEO would be happy to join existing consortia or co-develop project ideas with URBANA and other partners interested in advancing sustainable, inclusive, and innovative urban solutions.
    If you are interested, feel free to get in touch: emina.mravovic@ceeo.ba
