Vegal is a local development agency located in the eastern area of ​​Venice, Italy, with approximately 30 active Interreg projects. Vegal also manages an ecomuseum and is the owner of a SPF Interreg Italy Slovenia project of the GECT GO aimed at developing a cross-border ecomuseum model.
We are seeking partners interested in developing this theme, for example with a feasibility study for the opening of a new ecomuseum or the development of an existing one.

Dear Mr Manisi,
Thank you for sharing VeGAL’s ecomuseum initiative. The Museum of Herzegovina Trebinje is very interested in exploring possible cooperation around this concept.
As a public cultural institution from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Museum is strategically focused on the contemporary valorisation of cultural heritage and its stronger integration into sustainable tourism and territorial development. We are currently implementing two EU-funded projects in the field of cultural tourism, with activities related to heritage interpretation, visitor management, digitalisation, accessibility, community engagement and sustainable valorisation of cultural and archaeological sites.
The ecomuseum approach is particularly interesting to us because it offers a way to connect museum collections with the wider territory, including archaeological sites, rural landscapes, local communities, intangible heritage, gastronomy, wine traditions and thematic routes.
We would therefore be very interested in exploring the possibility of transferring and adapting the ecomuseum model to the Herzegovina territory, potentially through a pilot or feasibility-based approach under Call 7.
We would be pleased to learn more about the model you are currently developing and whether you are already forming a consortium for the call.

Dear Team,
I am contacting you on behalf of the Municipality of Vau Dejës, Albania, following your recent post on the Interreg Euro-MED Partner Forum regarding the development and transfer of an ecomuseum model.
We are currently exploring participation in Interreg Euro-MED Call 7 – MMM Sustainable Tourism as an IPA Project Partner / Receiving and Pilot Territory, and we believe that the ecomuseum approach could be highly relevant to our territory.
Vau Dejës combines rural and mountain villages, the Vau Dejës–Koman lake area and Drin River, cultural and religious heritage, traditional practices, local gastronomy, agricultural products, crafts and community-based tourism potential.
We would be particularly interested in exploring how an ecomuseum model could connect these territorial assets into an integrated sustainable tourism approach, involving local communities, artisans, producers, tourism operators and cultural stakeholders.
The Municipality could contribute through territorial and stakeholder mapping, feasibility assessment, community engagement, adaptation and testing of the transferred model, development of thematic routes and experiences, and institutional integration of the resulting approach into local tourism and development policies.
We would therefore be very interested to know whether VeGAL is currently developing this concept specifically for Interreg Euro-MED Call 7 and whether there is still an opportunity for the Municipality of Vau Dejës to participate as an Albanian IPA receiving territory.
If so, could you please share information regarding the MMM output(s) considered for transfer, Specific Objective, potential Lead Partner, current partnership composition, envisaged activities for receiving territories and indicative partner budget?
