Denisa SarajlicParticipantDear Marta,
I am reaching out on behalf of SKRIPTA, an SME from Bosnia and Herzegovina, regarding your concept on climate-resilient public spaces.Our work combines municipal innovation, design thinking, human-centred design and challenge-based co-creation. We work closely with local governments and could bring an additional pilot and innovation dimension to the consortium, particularly around small-scale green public-space interventions, shade and thermal comfort, green and blue corridors, accessibility and inclusive community use.
We can help municipalities define concrete local challenges, connect them with SMEs, innovators and academia, and support the co-design, testing and evaluation of practical solutions in real municipal settings. We could also help identify suitable pilot territories in Bosnia and Herzegovina for solutions and expertise developed by other consortium partners.
We see a strong complementarity with the concept already taking shape and would be very interested to explore whether there is still room for an additional project partner.
If you would like to discuss more through a short meeting, please contact us – info@skripta.ba; nedo@skripta.ba

Ognjen RadišićParticipantDear Ms. Mišlov,
I am reaching out on behalf of the City of Teslić (Bosnia and Herzegovina) to express our interest in exploring potential collaboration with the Tourist Board of Novigrad Sea Area under the 8th Interreg Euro-MED Call for Thematic Projects, within the Mission “Promoting Green Living Areas.”
We have reviewed your project concept focusing on small-scale, climate-resilient green public spaces in rural and coastal Mediterranean communities, particularly the proposed combination of green community oases, a sensory garden and a heritage garden. We see strong potential for cooperation, as your approach closely aligns with Teslić’s efforts to develop more inclusive, liveable and climate-resilient public spaces.
The City of Teslić is a municipality in north-central Bosnia and Herzegovina with approximately 38,000 inhabitants. Its territorial profile combines a relatively dense urban centre with numerous rural settlements dispersed across a mountainous landscape. This spatial structure creates particular challenges for the planning and provision of accessible, high-quality public spaces. During the summer months, elevated temperatures, limited shading in parts of the urban environment, car-oriented street design and increased visitor and diaspora flows further intensify pressure on public spaces and contribute to climate-related health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups such as older people, children and young people, and persons with disabilities.
In response, the municipality has already undertaken initial urban greening measures as a first step towards creating a healthier and more climate-resilient urban environment. These efforts are intended to be complemented by tactical urbanism interventions and nature-based solutions. Furthermore, the municipality is currently drafting a new urban design plan for the city centre, which will incorporate measures such as urban gardening and community-gathering spaces.
Against this background, we believe Teslić could provide a valuable complementary pilot territory within your proposed project. While Novigrad Sea Area offers a coastal Mediterranean context, Teslić could demonstrate how similar nature-based and community-oriented approaches can be adapted to an inland, mountainous municipality facing its own climate, spatial and social challenges.
The City of Teslić could offer three suitable, municipally owned pilot sites for project interventions. Potential activities could include shaded climate shelters and resting areas, a community garden, and an inclusive outdoor intergenerational hub incorporating accessible pathways, biodiversity-enhancing planting and opportunities for community interaction and environmental education. Depending on the agreed project framework and the characteristics of the selected sites, we would also be interested in exploring sensory and educational gardening elements and approaches to preserving and sharing local knowledge related to plants, cultivation and the landscape.
Beyond the implementation of local pilot activities, Teslić could contribute to stakeholder and community engagement, the testing and adaptation of the project methodology, and the dissemination and transfer of results to other local authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This would help demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach beyond coastal territories and strengthen its wider replication and capitalisation potential.
The City of Teslić has extensive experience in implementing international projects in cooperation with partners such as the European Investment Bank, the Czech Development Agency, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), UNDP and USAID. Furthermore, Teslić is currently a partner in the Interreg Euro-MED project WATERVILL – Innovative Solutions for Enhancing Village Water Supply and Addressing Water Scarcity in Resilient Rural and Mountainous Areas, participates in the NetZeroCities initiative as a Mission-Minded City, and is a mentee city in the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI). These experiences have strengthened our capacity to cooperate in international partnerships, implement locally grounded interventions and transfer innovative European practices into local policies and development processes.
We would therefore welcome the opportunity to learn more about the development of your project concept and discuss whether the City of Teslić could join the partnership as an additional pilot territory, contributing complementary territorial experience, concrete pilot locations and opportunities for transnational learning.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. We look forward to hearing from you and exploring the potential for cooperation.
Kind regards,
Ognjen Radišić

andrea grazianoParticipantDear Marta, dear all
We are contacting you on behalf of Città sotto scacco S.r.l., an Italian consultancy specialising in universal accessibility, sustainable urban mobility, GIS-based spatial analysis and public space planning.We have reviewed your proposed pilot activities in Novigrad, Posedarje and Poličnik and see an opportunity to contribute a complementary technical expertise that could support the different pilot territories.
In particular, we could contribute to assessing and improving the accessibility of green public spaces, including accessible pedestrian routes, barrier identification, inclusive design criteria, GIS-based accessibility assessments and evaluation of pilot interventions.
Our experience in accessibility planning for municipalities could help develop a practical and transferable methodology to ensure that climate-resilient public spaces are accessible and usable by everyone, particularly older people, persons with disabilities and families with children.We would be interested in joining the emerging consortium as a technical Project Partner, contributing to clearly defined project activities.
Could you please let us know whether the consortium is still open to additional technical partners and who is currently coordinating the proposal?We would be pleased to discuss a potential contribution.
Kind regardsAndrea Graziano, Città sotto scacco S.r.l. – Venice – Italy

Ourania KotsiouParticipantDear Colleagues,
I am contacting you on behalf of the Department of Nursing, University of Thessaly, Greece, regarding your project concept for Interreg Euro-MED Call 8 – Green Living Areas.
I am Dr Ourania S. Kotsiou, Pulmonologist and Associate Professor of Human Pathophysiology–Pulmonology, and Director of the Human Pathophysiology Laboratory at the University of Thessaly.
We found your concept particularly interesting, especially its focus on climate-resilient green public spaces, sensory environments, vulnerable population groups, community engagement and intergenerational use.
We believe that the University of Thessaly could complement your pilot activities by providing a strong health and wellbeing assessment dimension. Our Department has multidisciplinary expertise in health sciences, public and community health, respiratory and environmental health, vulnerable populations, health promotion and applied clinical research.
In particular, we could contribute to:
development of health and wellbeing KPIs;
assessment of perceived wellbeing, thermal comfort and quality of life;
evaluation of potential respiratory and environmental-health benefits;
specific assessment of older people and other vulnerable groups;
evaluation of environmental parameters in relation to health and wellbeing;
pre/post evaluation of the pilot interventions; and
capacity-building and community health-promotion activities.
This could allow the project not only to demonstrate that the interventions create greener and more climate-resilient public spaces, but also to provide measurable evidence of their potential impact on human health, wellbeing and quality of life.
We would be very interested in exploring cooperation with the Tourist Board Novigrad Sea Area and the participating municipalities and discussing how the University of Thessaly could join the emerging consortium as a research and health partner.
We would be pleased to arrange a short online meeting in the coming days to discuss the project concept and potential roles.
