The Municipality of Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, is interested in developing cooperation opportunities under the 7th Interreg Euro-MED Call within the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism.
Our Municipality has practical experience in the preparation and implementation of EU-funded projects, together with the institutional and administrative capacity to take an active role in a transnational partnership.
Depending on the project concept and partnership structure, we are open to:
– assuming the role of Lead Partner and coordinating the preparation and implementation of a transfer project; or
– joining a well-developed consortium as an experienced and committed Project Partner.
We can contribute through project coordination, stakeholder engagement and the use of Bijelo Polje as a pilot territory for transferring and adapting proven solutions. We can also support testing activities, communication, dissemination and the integration of successful results into local policies and development plans.
Our main areas of interest include sustainable rural and mountain tourism, natural and cultural heritage, green and digital tourism solutions, climate resilience, visitor management and community-based tourism.
We would be pleased to connect with experienced public authorities, development agencies, tourism organisations, universities, research institutions and other relevant organisations. We particularly value partners with complementary expertise, experience in EU or Interreg projects and a clear interest in actively contributing to both proposal preparation and project implementation.

I am writing on behalf of the Center for Development of the Pelagonija Planning Region (CDPPR), from Bitola, Macedonia, to express our interest in establishing cooperation with organisations looking for reliable and experienced partners for Interreg Euro-MED projects, particularly within the field of sustainable tourism and related areas of regional development.

CDPPR is a public institution for regional development, established by the nine units of local self-government comprising the Pelagonija Planning Region. As a regional development institution, we work closely with municipalities, public institutions, local stakeholders, businesses and civil society organisations to identify and address regional development needs and translate them into concrete projects and actions.

Our responsibilities include preparation and implementation of development projects, coordination of regional development activities, support to local communities, promotion of tourism and cultural heritage, and activities related to civil protection, resilience and sustainable territorial development.

CDPPR has substantial experience in project development, partnership building and project implementation under various national and international funding instruments. While Euro-MED would be a new programme framework for our institution, we have practical experience with Interreg cross-border cooperation, including project preparation, partnership coordination, financial and administrative management, implementation of activities, communication and reporting.

Our experience also includes projects and initiatives related to sustainable and rural tourism, cultural and natural heritage, local economic development, environmental protection, climate resilience and capacity building of local stakeholders. Through our institutional position, we can also facilitate access to the municipalities and relevant stakeholders across the Pelagonija region and support the testing, adaptation and territorial transfer of innovative solutions and good practices.

For the upcoming Interreg Euro-MED opportunities, including the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM) and Sustainable Tourism, we are particularly interested in joining partnerships where our regional expertise, territorial network and capacity to implement pilot actions can provide concrete added value.

Dear Colleagues,

We are writing on behalf of the Municipality of Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an idea for potential partnership under the upcoming Interreg Euro-MED Multi-Programme Mechanism Coordinated Call on Sustainable Tourism, in response to your partner search notice.

Travnik combines historical-urban tourism — an Ottoman-era fortress and old town, the birth house of Ivo Andrić — with mountain tourism at Vlašić, giving us a varied territorial profile for testing capitalised Euro-MED solutions. We are currently preparing an application in the role of partner, focused on heritage digitisation and AR/VR tools for our museum, in cooperation with the Travnik Regional Museum, as well as outputs related to managing a destination that links urban and mountain areas.

Bijelo Polje seems like a natural partner to talk to — a territory that, as far as we understand, faces a similar challenge: a combination of an urban centre and a mountainous hinterland (Bjelasica, Lim), and a need to extend the tourist season and manage visitor flows beyond the main hotspots. This overlap, together with your call for partners with experience in an MMM output from another programme, is why we wanted to reach out directly.

Relevant project experience
We currently manage an active pipeline of EU- and internationally-funded projects across Horizon Europe, Interreg, and UN-agency and bilateral donor programmes. In preparing for Call 7, we have already conducted a structured screening of the MMM output database against our territory, with particular attention to the eligibility requirement that at least one transferred output must originate from a programme other than Interreg Euro-MED.

Possible contribution
Depending on the final consortium structure, Travnik could contribute: a dual-typology pilot territory (heritage-urban and mountain) for testing transferred solutions; an engaged local stakeholder base across our tourist board, museum, tourism SMEs and civil society; and a project team experienced in EU-funded project delivery, budgeting, reporting and stakeholder coordination. We would be particularly interested in exploring shared ground on the following:

– digitisation and AR/VR interpretation of cultural and natural heritage;
– sustainable mobility connecting urban and mountain destinations;
– managing seasonality and dispersing visitor flows beyond main hotspots.
