Paula TrilloParticipantFinnova Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in Valencia, Spain, with an additional headquarters in Brussels, specialising in European project development, innovation and sustainability. We have experience in proposal development, partner search and consortium building, as well as communication, exploitation and policy uptake.
We are currently developing a project proposal under the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, within the Natural Heritage Mission, focusing on biodiversity resilience and the sustainable management of Mediterranean protected areas.
We are interested in connecting with organisations from different Euro-Mediterranean countries, particularly:
– Public authorities responsible for biodiversity and environmental management;
– Protected area managers, nature parks and environmental agencies;
– Universities and research organisations working on biodiversity and nature conservation;
– Organisations with experience in environmental monitoring and sustainable territorial development.We would be pleased to connect with potential partners, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for cooperation within this proposal and other European project initiatives.
If your organisation is interested, please feel free to get in touch: paula.trillo@finnova.eu

Denisa SarajlicParticipantDear colleagues,
We are interested in the Natural Heritage proposal you are currently developing and believe SKRIPTA, an SME from Bosnia and Herzegovina, could add a complementary territorial and local-governance dimension.
Our expertise is not in biodiversity science or environmental monitoring. We work with municipalities and local institutions on governance, institutional design, human-centred approaches and practical implementation of locally adapted solutions.
A particular contribution we could bring is our strong understanding of the local-governance landscape and territorial reach across Bosnia and Herzegovina. We work closely with municipalities and know that smaller and underdeveloped local governments often have the greatest need for projects of this kind, but the least capacity to access them, shape project concepts, engage with international partners or absorb new methodologies and solutions.
SKRIPTA could help bridge that gap by identifying suitable small-scale pilot territories, working with municipalities and protected-area actors to define concrete management challenges, and supporting them to participate meaningfully in project design and implementation. We could also help adapt and integrate solutions, tools or methodologies developed by other consortium partners into real local settings and institutional processes.
This would give the consortium access to territories that are often underrepresented in transnational projects, while helping ensure that technical solutions are realistic, locally owned and usable by municipalities with limited specialist and administrative capacities.
We would be interested to explore whether this role could complement the partnership currently taking shape.
Best regards,
SKRIPTA

Nina PrelogParticipantHello Paula,
The proposal you are developing under the Euro-MED Natural Heritage Mission seems to leave room for exactly the kind of contribution RRC Ormož can bring; connecting environmental objectives with municipalities, local stakeholders and practical territorial implementation.
We are Development and Research Center RRC Ormož, a public regional development institution from Slovenia, with many years of experience in EU-funded and transnational cooperation projects, both as Project Partner and Lead Partner.
Through our work with municipalities, regional stakeholders and international partners, we have developed strong practical experience in sustainable territorial development, climate and environmental challenges, green transition, participatory planning and the implementation of pilot actions at local level.
We therefore know well the challenges of translating broader environmental objectives into practical measures, local strategies and cooperation with municipalities and communities. This is also where we see our contribution to your proposal – particularly in territorial implementation, stakeholder engagement, pilot activities, transferability and policy uptake.
We would be interested to learn more about how the project is currently taking shape, the partnership being formed and where you still see room for additional partners.
Best regards,
Nina Prelog

Tanja SoftićParticipantSUBJECT: Expression of interest in project partnership – Interreg Euro-MED Call 8 | Natural Heritage
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Municipality of Bilje, Croatia, we would like to express our interest in establishing new transnational partnerships under the 8th Call for Proposals of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, particularly within the Natural Heritage Mission (Specific Objective 2.7).
The Municipality of Bilje is located in eastern Croatia, in the Baranja region, an area known for its exceptional natural and cultural heritage, preserved rural landscapes and the internationally recognised Kopački rit Nature Park. Over the years, our municipality has placed particular emphasis on environmental protection, sustainable territorial development, biodiversity conservation, cultural heritage and community involvement.
We have gained valuable experience through several EU-funded cross-border cooperation projects, including Hidden Landscapes, Green Baranja and Wild Danube Tour. We are currently implementing Be(e)Good, focusing on sustainable and climate-resilient beekeeping and pollinator protection, as well as UNITRAD, promoting shared cultural heritage, local traditions and cross-border cooperation. Our local Cultural and Development Centre has also participated in the WatchOut project, focusing on biodiversity monitoring and innovative technologies in the Kopački rit Nature Park.
These initiatives have provided a strong foundation for further international cooperation, particularly in projects that combine environmental protection, practical local solutions and the long-term sustainable management of valuable natural areas.
Building on our previous experience and the strategic priorities identified in the Municipality’s Destination Management Plan 2025–2029, we are currently considering two potential project directions:
1. Biodiversity-Smart Landscapes – Biodiversity Resilience and Sustainable Landscape Management
This concept would focus on developing and testing joint approaches to biodiversity monitoring and management in environmentally sensitive natural landscapes. Potential activities could include monitoring habitats and species, identifying and addressing environmental pressures, testing targeted conservation measures, improving management practices and involving local communities in biodiversity protection.
The aim would be to develop practical, transferable solutions that strengthen ecosystem resilience and support evidence-based territorial and environmental management.
2. Living Landscapes – Ecosystem Restoration and Ecological Connectivity
This concept would focus on developing and testing practical approaches to the restoration of degraded and vulnerable ecosystems, including valuable grassland, wetland and other natural habitats.
Potential activities could include pilot restoration measures, improvements in habitat connectivity, protection of native vegetation and pollinators, ecological monitoring and the development of joint methodologies for long-term ecosystem management.
Both concepts are preliminary and open for further development in cooperation with interested partners. We would particularly welcome the opportunity to explore how our experience and local resources could complement project ideas already being developed by other organisations.
The Municipality of Bilje can contribute practical experience in EU-funded project implementation, cooperation with public institutions and civil society, stakeholder engagement and the development of locally grounded activities. We also see considerable added value in partnerships involving municipalities, protected-area management authorities, universities, research institutions and environmental organisations.
We are interested both in joining an existing consortium and in exploring the possibility of jointly developing a new project partnership with organisations from other eligible Interreg Euro-MED countries.
If your organisation is currently preparing a project proposal or is interested in cooperation within the Natural Heritage Mission, we would be pleased to exchange ideas and discuss potential opportunities for collaboration.
We would welcome your feedback and the opportunity to arrange a short online meeting to explore possible synergies and partnership arrangements.
Thank you for considering our expression of interest. We look forward to the possibility of working together.
