    Dear colleague/colleagues,

    We hope this email finds you well.

    We would like to express our interest in joining a consortium as partner and apply to the next 8 Call Interreg Euromed. It is our pleasure to introduce to potential project partners our two institutions.

    Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro is the central state administration body in Montenegro responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing national policies across education, scientific research, and innovation. Its mission is to build a modern, inclusive, and sustainable knowledge-based society while aligning national frameworks with European Union standards.
    Its key responsibilities include: Developing and advancing educational strategies across all levels—from preschool to higher education—as well as driving research and innovation frameworks; Adopting official educational curricula, national standards, and qualification framework; Managing institutional financing, overseeing the founding and licensing of educational facilities, and supervising the overall functioning of the education system; Managing international cooperation and cross-border programmes, European integration processes, and international educational funds.

    Bureau for Educational Services is a specialized public institution operating alongside the Ministry, serving as the leading body dedicated to monitoring, evaluating, and professionally improving the pre-university education process in Montenegro.The Bureau is responsible for defining, monitoring, and ensuring the quality of educational work within primary and general secondary schools; Conducting research, advisory, and development-oriented tasks to shape modern teaching methods and update subject programmes; Designing and organizing continuous professional training, seminars, and certification programmes for teachers, school management, and professional associates; Providing expert pedagogical guidance and instructional supervision to schools to enhance classroom practices and student learning outcomes.

    The Ministry and the Bureau would be interested to participate as partners in the Thematic Test projects to be submitted under Call 8 of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme.

    Our special strength is reflected in connecting curriculum development and continuous professional development of teachers with practical challenges of sustainability in schools and local communities.

    Our framework of cross-curricular themes provides a structured basis for developing age-appropriate learning outcomes, teaching materials, interdisciplinary activities, and assessment approaches in preschool, primary, and secondary education.

    Relevant areas include:

    -entrepreneurial learning,

    -financial literacy, and social entrepreneurship;

    -sustainable development and climate change;

    -digital and AI literacy;

    -information and media literacy;

    -civic education;

    -health and well-being;

    -as well as career guidance.

    Within a project partnership, we could take responsibility for:

    – Developing and adapting cross-curricular modules connecting financial literacy, sustainable consumption, green and social entrepreneurship, and the circular economy.
    – Designing teacher training programmes, train-the-trainer programmes, and mentoring schemes to support the implementation of project activities.
    – Coordinating the pilot testing of educational approaches in schools, linked to project pilot solutions in the field of environmental protection.
    – Developing practical learning models, including circular challenges, green laboratories, and student entrepreneurial initiatives.
    – Supporting the responsible use of digital and AI tools for environmental research, data analysis, and evidence-based decision-making.
    – Developing learning activities focused on critically evaluating climate information, verifying claims about the environmental properties of products and activities, and recognizing greenwashing.
    – Establishing methods for assessing learning outcomes and documenting changes in school practice, alongside environmental monitoring conducted in cooperation with relevant expert partners.
    – Preparing reusable materials, implementation guidelines, and recommendations for wider application in educational practice.

    Depending on the consortium’s focus, we could also provide expert educational support for pilot activities involving community gardens, greener and healthier school spaces, biodiversity monitoring, or nature-based solutions.
