    Dear potential colleagues,

Considering our interest and aim in joining a project on Interreg EURO MED, I am writing in terms of new collaborations.
ActionAid International Italia E.T.S. is the Italian member of a Federation working in more than 45 countries in the world to fight inequalities and combat poverty.
We have been implementing projects in Italy for almost 15 years promoting civic participation and empowerment, through community organising and giving citizens the tools to demand their rights and hold duty bearers into account.

Our projects are funded by the EU and national institutions as well as private donors. We are currently implementing an Interreg Central Europe project (GetCohesive) promoting inclusive participatory practices for vulnerable citizens to have their say in the development of climate, urban and social policies.
In the field of Resilience, ActionAid Italia has implemented projects focusing on early response and recovery after natural disasters, improving citizen social and political participation and strengthening institutional accountability and transparency in the use of public funds and resources. We are active in disaster risk management, considering the whole risk cycle, promoting preparedness through the involvement of citizens and institutions.

We also target climate change mitigation and adaptation through similar approaches, with the focus on involving citizens in the co-design, implementation, monitoring and assessment of policies and services, as well as monitoring the use of public funds to address this challenge and requesting transparency and accountability to public and private actors involved.
Among the methodologies we have applied in the past and we could offer in a project within Interreg Euromed, there are civic monitoring, participatory vulnerability assessment, community-based approaches, women resilience index and possible adaptation to specific groups, policy labs involving variety of stakeholders and citizens themselves, collaboration pacts.
