The Andalusian Association of Home Appliance and Household Equipment Retailers (AAEL), within the Andalusian Federation of Household Appliances and Home Equipment (FAEL), is a non-profit organisation representing more than 2.400 retail outlets across over 500 municipalities in Andalusia (Spain).
AAEL is a key player in the promotion of the circular economy, with extensive expertise in Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) management and direct access to the ecosystem involved in the generation, distribution, collection and treatment of electrical and electronic waste. Through its collaboration with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Schemes, as well as its focus on awareness-raising and training activities, AAEL actively engages retailers in the transition towards more circular and sustainable consumption and production models. This strong connection with the WEEE value chain and the local business ecosystem enables AAEL to mobilise retailers as active agents of the urban circular transition and to contribute to European projects through piloting, stakeholder engagement, awareness-raising, capacity building and the replication of innovative solutions.

AAEL has experience in several European-funded projects (LIFE Programme, Horizon Europe, Interreg…) and is open to participate as a partner in new ones, contributing with the following skills:
    – Project management and coordination.
    – WEEE and Circular Economy technical expertise.
    – Stakeholder engagement.
    – Training and capacity building.
    – Communication and dissemination abilities.

AAEL / FAEL core activities may include:
    – Improving WEEE management and recycling.
    – Raising awareness and mobilising stakeholders.
    – Promoting the Circular Economy.
    – Promoting the continuous modernisation of the sector.
    – Supporting training and professional development.
    – Fostering territorial commercial development.
    – Promoting digitalisation and the integration of ICT.
    – Strengthening quality and customer service.

Should you consider that AAEL / FAEL can contribute to your proposal for the Euro-MED 8th Call, or add a valuable asset to your consortium, please feel free to contact us at euprojects@aael.es.
