PLOIGOS is a Greek civil non-profit organisation (AMKE) interested in joining a consortium as a Project Partner under the Interreg Euro-MED Call 8 – Thematic Test Projects.
Our organisation works in the field of agri-food, with particular interest in Cretan food and dietary culture, traditional food knowledge, local products, small-scale and artisanal food production, and the promotion of local gastronomic heritage.
We are interested in further developing a project idea focused on supporting small agri-food businesses, local producers and artisanal food enterprises in adopting more sustainable and circular practices.
A possible approach could include the development of a practical sustainability and circular economy toolkit for small food businesses, together with a train-the-trainer programme for organisations supporting SMEs and local producers. The model could help businesses assess their current practices, identify realistic improvements, develop tailored action plans and test selected measures in real-life conditions.
PLOIGOS could contribute to the development and testing of the methodology, stakeholder and producer engagement, training and capacity building, local pilot activities, networking, communication and dissemination. We are also interested in contributing to project sustainability monitoring activities, including carbon footprint data coordination.
The concept is at an early stage and we are open to co-developing it with Lead Partners, research organisations, public authorities, business support organisations and other partners bringing complementary technical expertise.
We would be glad to connect with organisations currently preparing proposals under Euro-MED08 and explore possible cooperation.
