The Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC, Spain) is seeking opportunities to join a consortium as a research partner.
Our research focuses on hydrogeology, water quality, and numerical modelling to assess human impacts on water resources and ecosystems. We are particularly interested in projects addressing agricultural pollution and microplastic contamination in groundwater, lakes, soils and other environmental compartments.
We can contribute expertise in catchment-scale hydrogeological characterisation, groundwater–surface water interactions, and the assessment of water and soil quality, with a particular focus on emerging contaminants and microplastics in groundwater, lakes and soils. We can also provide real-world pilot study sites in Spain to support the implementation, testing and evaluation of practical solutions under Mediterranean environmental conditions.
