The Center of Integrated Geomorphology for the Mediterranean Area (CGIAM) is a public-law research institute based in Potenza, Basilicata (Italy).
We are interested in joining the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM) Coordinated Call 7 on Sustainable Tourism consortium, and are open to taking on either the lead partner or partner role.

CGIAM has extensive experience in the Interreg programmes and in transnational institution-building projects, such as the Phare Twinning and EuropeAid programmes.
In these projects, CGIAM is successfully playing the roles of lead partner and partner.

Our main strengths include:
– Scientific and technical expertise in territorial and environmental analysis, geomorphological risk assessment, and monitoring methodologies.
– Great capacity in results transfer and technological innovation, turning research outcomes into applicable tools and solutions.
– A portfolio of validated, transferable project outputs covering coastal climate change adaptation, protected area wildfire resilience, and cultural heritage tourism.
– Experience in turning technical and scientific knowledge into public-facing content through exhibitions and citizen-oriented initiatives.

We may be interested in projects topics like:
– sustainable tourism in coastal and climate-vulnerable destinations;
– the resilience of protected natural areas and territories of high environmental value;
– heritage and territorial resilience linked to climate adaptation and citizen engagement.

In MMM, many outputs can be categorised within these areas, and we are prepared to contribute to the drafting of project proposals in our capacity as lead partner and partner organisation.
