In the framework of the Interreg EURO-MED call for capitalisation projects on Sustainable Tourism, PJ Consulting is interested in joining or supporting partnerships aimed at transferring, adapting and scaling up existing Interreg outputs in new Mediterranean territories and contexts.

We can contribute with solid expertise in project design, proposal writing, partnership building, administrative and financial management, reporting, communication, stakeholder engagement and capitalisation strategies. Our support is particularly focused on turning project ideas into structured, coherent and operational proposals, ensuring alignment with programme priorities, eligibility rules and expected results.

PJ Consulting is especially interested in project ideas related to smart and innovative tourism products, the green transition of tourism, inclusive and accessible tourism, skills development, local governance models and the strategic management of sustainable tourism destinations.

We are looking to cooperate with public authorities, universities, research centres, tourism and development agencies, business support organisations, SMEs, NGOs, consortia and specialised entities from eligible Mediterranean countries willing to build a strong, balanced and operational consortium.

The Center for Energy, Energy Efficiency and Environment (CEEO) is a Bosnia and Herzegovina-based NGO and expert organization working in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change, environmental protection and sustainable development.

CEEO has extensive experience in EU-funded projects and calls, including both project development and implementation. We are currently implementing an Interreg Danube project and have recently completed an Interreg MED project, giving us solid experience in international cooperation and EU project management.

Dear Ms. Battaglia,

I am reaching out on behalf of the City of Teslić (Bosnia and Herzegovina) to express our interest in exploring cooperation with PJ Consulting in the framework of the upcoming Interreg Euro-MED Multi-Programme Mechanism Coordinated Call on Sustainable Tourism.

The City of Teslić is a municipality in northern-central Bosnia and Herzegovina with approximately 38,000 inhabitants and a distinctive territorial profile combining an urban centre with numerous rural settlements spread across a predominantly mountainous landscape. Tourism is an important pillar of our local economy, with particular strengths in spa and wellness, rural, nature-based and mountain tourism. Accordingly, the development of a sustainable, resilient and environmentally responsible tourism sector is one of the strategic priorities of our Municipal Development Strategy 2018–2027.

Over the past years, the City of Teslić has actively promoted sustainable tourism through initiatives such as Via Dinarica (Phases I and II), Eco Food Tour, and other projects focused on improving tourism infrastructure, valorising local natural and cultural heritage, and strengthening the competitiveness of local tourism providers.

The municipality also has extensive experience in implementing international projects in cooperation with organisations including the European Investment Bank, Czech Development Agency, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), UNDP and USAID.

In addition, Teslić is currently a partner in the Interreg Euro-MED project WATERVILL – Innovative solutions for enhancing village water supply and addressing water scarcity in resilient rural and mountainous areas, where the municipality is involved as a pilot territory (https://watervill.interreg-euro-med.eu/2026/02/06/focus-on-pilot-municipalities-city-of-teslic/).

We also participate in the NetZeroCities initiative as a Mission-Minded City and are a mentee city within the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI), with a particular interest in introducing circular and resource-efficient practices in the tourism sector. These experiences have further strengthened our capacity to transfer, adapt and capitalise on European good practices within the local context.

From our perspective, Teslić could offer a particularly relevant pilot environment for an Interreg Euro-MED capitalisation project. Our combination of rural and mountainous areas, dispersed settlements, tourism potential and the need to strengthen sustainable mobility, resource efficiency and destination management creates favourable conditions for testing how proven Mediterranean solutions can be adapted beyond their original context.

We are particularly interested in the capitalisation of existing Interreg outputs related to:

– sustainable and low-impact tourism and circular approaches;
– smart and innovative tourism products and destination management;
– ecotourism and community-based tourism;
– sustainable and active mobility connecting urban, rural and natural destinations;
– biodiversity protection and climate resilience of tourism destinations; and
– participatory and multi-stakeholder governance of sustainable tourism.

For example, we would be particularly interested in exploring how existing methodologies such as the TOUR Joint Ecotourism Strategy (https://tour.southadriatic.eu/sites/default/files/2026-04/TOUR_OUTPUT1.1_Joint_Ecotourism_Strate_with_MoU.pdf) could be transferred and adapted to the specific needs of rural and mountainous destinations such as Teslić.

As a municipality, we could contribute a concrete pilot territory and local stakeholder ecosystem, including tourism businesses, SMEs, civil society organisations and relevant municipal departments. We could support the identification of local needs, stakeholder engagement, adaptation and testing of transferred solutions, pilot activities, communication and dissemination, and the development of recommendations for sustainable tourism governance.

At the same time, we believe PJ Consulting’s experience in project design, consortium building, budgeting, project management, reporting and technical assistance to public authorities could provide valuable added value in transforming a promising capitalisation idea into a strong and operational project proposal.

We would therefore be very interested in discussing whether PJ Consulting is currently developing or considering any consortium concepts for the Sustainable Tourism call where Teslić could participate as a pilot municipality or territorial partner. We would also be happy to explore ideas jointly and consider whether our local experience and territorial context could complement the expertise of potential Mediterranean partners.

I am writing on behalf of the Center for Development of the Pelagonija Planning Region (CDPPR), from Bitola, Macedonia, to express our interest in establishing cooperation with organisations looking for reliable and experienced partners for Interreg Euro-MED projects, particularly within the field of sustainable tourism and related areas of regional development.

CDPPR is a public institution for regional development, established by the nine units of local self-government comprising the Pelagonija Planning Region. As a regional development institution, we work closely with municipalities, public institutions, local stakeholders, businesses and civil society organisations to identify and address regional development needs and translate them into concrete projects and actions.

Our responsibilities include preparation and implementation of development projects, coordination of regional development activities, support to local communities, promotion of tourism and cultural heritage, and activities related to civil protection, resilience and sustainable territorial development.

CDPPR has substantial experience in project development, partnership building and project implementation under various national and international funding instruments. While Euro-MED would be a new programme framework for our institution, we have practical experience with Interreg cross-border cooperation, including project preparation, partnership coordination, financial and administrative management, implementation of activities, communication and reporting.

Our experience also includes projects and initiatives related to sustainable and rural tourism, cultural and natural heritage, local economic development, environmental protection, climate resilience and capacity building of local stakeholders. Through our institutional position, we can also facilitate access to the municipalities and relevant stakeholders across the Pelagonija region and support the testing, adaptation and territorial transfer of innovative solutions and good practices.

For the upcoming Interreg Euro-MED opportunities, including the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM) and Sustainable Tourism, we are particularly interested in joining partnerships where our regional expertise, territorial network and capacity to implement pilot actions can provide concrete added value.

My name is Gabriela Popova, and I represent BATTI Association.
BATTI is an NGO based in Varna, Bulgaria. Our region is eligible for the Interreg Euro-MED calls, and we have experience in two projects under this programme: GARDEN and Med-Routes. Med-Routes focused specifically on sustainable tourism, allowing us to gain strong expertise in this field.
We also work on other tourism-related projects under the Interreg Danube Programme, such as Roman Legacy. Currently are partners in 9 Interreg projects in total under the different Programme Regions.
As an NGO, according to the programme rules, we cannot act as the lead partner. We would like to join as partners in future consortia. Thanks to our extensive experience, we would be pleased to support you in the preparation of the project proposal.
