Dear colleagues,
The Municipality of Vau Dejës is a local public authority from Albania, an IPA country participating in the Interreg Euro-MED cooperation area. We are interested in joining an existing consortium under Interreg Euro-MED Call 7 – MMM Sustainable Tourism as an IPA Project Partner / Receiving Territory.
We are particularly interested in the transfer, adaptation, testing and institutional uptake in our territory of proven solutions and outputs selected from the MMM Joint Output Database.
Vau Dejës offers a diverse and suitable environment for transfer and pilot activities, combining the Vau Dejës–Koman lake area and Drin River landscape, rural and mountain areas, natural, cultural and religious heritage, traditional villages and local traditions, cultural events, local producers, gastronomy and crafts.
We are particularly interested in transferable solutions related to:
– sustainable rural, mountain and nature-based tourism;
– inland-water tourism and sustainable visitor management around lakes, rivers and dam landscapes;
– cultural and religious heritage, cultural routes and heritage interpretation;
– community-based tourism, local traditions and events;
– local gastronomy, agricultural products, crafts and local tourism value chains;
– digital and smart tourism solutions, including digital routes, mapping, visitor information and digital heritage interpretation;
– sustainable destination management and tourism governance;
– nature, biodiversity, green tourism and climate-resilient tourism solutions.
As a local public authority, the Municipality of Vau Dejës can contribute as a Receiving/Pilot Territory through local coordination, stakeholder and community engagement, adaptation and testing of transferred solutions, and the integration of successful results into municipal tourism policies, plans and practices.
If you are currently developing or coordinating a proposal under Call 7 and are still looking for an IPA Project Partner / Receiving Territory from Albania, we would be very interested in joining your consortium.
Given the short timeframe before the Call 7 deadline, I am fully available for direct communication by email and can respond promptly to any requests from the Lead Partner. The Municipality of Vau Dejës is ready to provide at short notice the required institutional information, partner documentation and inputs for the Application Form.
I will remain available throughout the final preparation period to facilitate the timely completion and submission of the proposal.
