Meet our newest IVY Reporter

22/06/2026
IVY («Interreg Volunteer Youth») is an initiative by the European Commission that started in 2017. It gives young people aged between 18 and 30 years old the opportunity to be a volunteer within the organisations that make European cooperation possible.

The Interreg Euro-MED Programme supports the IVY initiative and welcomes Giovanni Parzani, a new IVY Reporter. During the next six months, he will work within the communication unit to boost the visibility of cooperation in the Mediterranean region, and he will help with the organisation of the Mid Term Event. In line with the Programme’s objectives of making the region smarter and greener, he will focus on increasing young people’s involvement in its actions.

With a background in project management and communication, Giovanni has decided to become an IVY to acquire new skills and evolve professionally but mostly to support across border cooperation for a more resilient Mediterranean.

«I am delighted to join the Interreg Euro-MED Programme as an IVY Reporter and contribute to promoting Mediterranean cooperation. I see this experience as a unique opportunity to learn from a dynamic transnational environment. Through my role within the communication unit, I hope to help make Mediterranean cooperation more visible and accessible, particularly to younger generations. By sharing the Programme’s achievements and engaging with its diverse community, I look forward to contributing to its objectives and missions.»
