The 2nd Edition of the Portuguese European Funds Awards (“Prémios dos Fundos Europeus”) is now open for applications. This initiative recognises projects co-financed by European Funds that demonstrate outstanding results and a strong territorial impact.
This year’s edition introduces, for the first time, a dedicated category for European Territorial Cooperation (Interreg), highlighting projects that promote transnational cooperation, knowledge sharing and joint solutions with tangible benefits for participating territories.
- All closed Interreg projects are encouraged to apply and showcase the results and impact achieved through cooperation activities.
- Applications must be submitted by Portuguese Lead Partners or Portuguese project partners.
- Projects applying to the competition will need to provide a declaration issued by the Managing Authority, through the Joint Secretariat, certifying that the project has been completed and complies with the applicable Interreg Programme regulations.
The deadline for applications is 17 July 2026.
