I’m Deana Alibali, specialist at the directorate of Strategic planing and EU projects in Shkoder Municipality, North Albania.
I’m writing to express our interest in the project topics you have proposed.Brief presentation :
The Municipality of Shkoder, is located in Northern Albania, has an area of 873 m2 and a population of 213,493 inhabitants. Scutari is part of the region of the same name and is one of the most important cultural and historical centers of Albania, as well as one of the oldest cities in Albania, with a thousand-year history behind it. It has been assessed at different times as a node of geostrategic importance due to the proximity between the mountains, the lake, the sea and important roads of the Western Balkans.
In the last 5 years the tourism sector in Albania, but in Shkoder expecially, has experienced rapid growth and we are increasingly interested in concrete projects in this sector. As above, we find a common interest in your project idea and we would like to hear more details about it, as we have so many villages where we can implement projects in ecoturism.
if you think you can find a partner in us, to develop this project, don’t hasitate to contact : deana.alibali@bashkiashkoder.gov.al

We are the Dalmatian Energy Agency (DEA), the only energy agency in the south of Croatia. As a public, non-profit organization founded by the local regional government, our mission is to ensure a sustainable energy future for our region. This involves increasing energy production from renewable energy sources (RES) and introducing smarter and more efficient systems.
We are implementing solar energy systems, both thermal and photovoltaic, in households and particularly in buildings and facilities of the regional government. This June, our region welcomed 557,000 tourists, despite having a population of only 400,000 residents. During the summer period, our infrastructure is often overwhelmed. Consequently, we are working on smarter and greener infrastructure projects, such as e-chargers, digitalization, incorporation of renewable energy sources in tourism, workshops, educations.
We are very interested in your project
We also collaborate with other institutions, universities, and private companies on sustainability projects. We are interested in joining your project as a partner. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@dea-sdz.hr.

13/09/2024 at 11:32 #27501DIMITRIOS PAPPASParticipantDear Antje,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your exciting vision for developing an Eco Tourism Village in a remote mountain community. We at YMCA Thessaloniki are always enthusiastic about innovative projects that promote sustainability and community development.
Your project aligns with our own commitment to fostering environmental awareness and empowering local communities. While our experience in eco-tourism is still growing, we have been actively involved in various community-oriented and environmental initiatives. We believe that through collaboration and knowledge exchange, we could bring meaningful contributions to your project. We have an operational camp at Nymfaio Mountain, which might be crucial to the project.
The YMCA Thessaloniki takes pride in having partaken successfully in several European projects thus far (such as Interreg and Erasmus+) and is keen on partnering with other bodies to form a consortium for EUROMED as a country from Greece.
The YMCA Thessaloniki core values are caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The YMCA Thessaloniki is devoted to empower young people to reach their fullest potential. Additionally, the YMCA Thessaloniki provides ample opportunities to better one’s mind, body and spirit. There are multiple projects running simultaneously, and on multiple levels. There are camps for young people, the Youth Leadership Training Program for teenagers, social actions to help immigrants and refugees in the region, as well as a dedication to amateur sports. The YMCA Thessaloniki brought many sports to Greece, namely basketball and volleyball.
We would be very interested in learning more and potentially partnering on this application for the 5th call for Thematic Projects in 2024. Our team includes individuals with experience in project management, community engagement, and environmental education, which we hope could be valuable to your initiative.
We look forward to exploring this opportunity with you further.
Kind regards,
Elias Tezapsidis
European Program Officer
YMCA Thessaloniki
