Shar Planina is one of the largest and highest mountain massifs in North Macedonia. It is located in the northwestern part of the country.
The creation of Shar Mountain National Park in North Macedonia means the final puzzle piece for one of the largest transboundary protected areas in Europe is now in place. Public institution National Park Shar Mountain Republic of Macedonia is a Public Institution for the Management of National Park Shar Mountain.
The main activity of Public institution National Park Shar Mountain is the protection and preservation of natural heritage by establishing a regime (system) of protection of the National Park and taking measures to protect the created protection areas in the National Park.

PINP Shar Mountain RNM is Interested in joining as partner, on the following priority themes:
– sustainable use of natural resources in the interest of current and future development, without significant damage to parts of nature and with the least possible disturbances of natural balance;
– creating conditions for tourism development in accordance with the principle of sustainable development;
– protection and conservation of natural habitats of National and Transnational importance;
– protection and conservation of biodiversity of National and Transnational importance;
