The purpose of the project is to establish an integrated and sustainable model of agritourism in the EUROMED region, encouraging cross-border collaboration to create a uniform approach in the agritourism and ecotourism industry. The goal is to sustainably and resiliently improve agritourism by developing manuals and practical guides for the effective implementation of agritourism practices and strengthening marketing, awareness, and digitalization capabilities. It seeks to promote the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of the agricultural and livestock tourism sector, attracting new visitors and combating depopulation in EUROMED, improving the quality and competitiveness of agritourism in the region, and valuing the natural heritage and high-quality products.
● Creating Immersive Agritourism Experiences: Design tourist packages that include visits to farms and estates.
● Development of Thematic Tourist Routes: Map and signpost tourist routes.
● Interactive Digital Platform for Agritourism: Implement an interactive web platform that provides detailed information on agritourism destinations, experiences, online reservations, and recommendations.
● Training Programs: To Improve Hospitality and Tourism Marketing: Organize workshops and training courses for owners.
● Awareness and Promotion Campaigns for Agritourism: Develop and execute marketing campaigns that highlight the values of sustainable agritourism.
● Promotion of Cross-Border Collaboration in Agritourism: Establish a collaboration network among tour operators, farms, and tourism organizations in different countries of the EUROMED region to share good practices, knowledge, and resources.
● Sustainability Certification for Agritourism Destinations: Develop a certification system to recognize and promote those agritourism destinations that meet sustainability and quality criteria. If you are interested, please contact with us: Luis Miguel Sanabria. info@edintra.es.

This project could be an excellent fit for collaboration with YMCA Thessaloniki, especially in promoting sustainable agritourism and cross-border cooperation. YMCA Thessaloniki, with its strong community engagement and experience in educational and cultural programs, could contribute significantly to several aspects of the project.
Possible Areas of Collaboration:
1. Training Programs: YMCA Thessaloniki could organize and host workshops or training courses for agritourism providers, leveraging their expertise in education and leadership training. These sessions could focus on hospitality, sustainable tourism marketing, and community engagement.2. Awareness and Promotion Campaigns: YMCA Thessaloniki could assist in designing and executing marketing campaigns aimed at increasing awareness about sustainable agritourism. Their extensive network within the Thessaloniki region could be valuable in reaching local and international audiences.
3. Thematic Tourist Routes: YMCA Thessaloniki could collaborate on mapping out agritourism routes in northern Greece, promoting local farms, wineries, and estates while highlighting the cultural and historical significance of the region.
The YMCA Thessaloniki takes pride in having partaken successfully in several European projects thus far (such as Interreg and Erasmus+) and is keen on partnering with other bodies to form a consortium for EUROMED as a country from Greece.
The YMCA Thessaloniki core values are caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The YMCA Thessaloniki is devoted to empower young people to reach their fullest potential. Additionally, the YMCA Thessaloniki provides ample opportunities to better one’s mind, body and spirit. There are multiple projects running simultaneously, and on multiple levels. There are camps for young people, the Youth Leadership Training Program for teenagers, social actions to help immigrants and refugees in the region, as well as a dedication to amateur sports. The YMCA Thessaloniki brought many sports to Greece, namely basketball and volleyball.
We would be delighted to discuss potential collaboration opportunities and explore how we can contribute to and support these innovative initiatives.
Please feel free to reach out to us at your convenience to discuss the next steps.
Kind regards,
Elias Tezapsidis
European Program Officer
YMCA Thessaloniki
