The Murska Sobota Development Centre from Slovenia is looking for project partners for the project: Food tourism at the heart of sustainable development

About project

The purpose of the project is to place tourism at the center of sustainable development of the environment, with special emphasis on culinary development. We believe that food tourism in the Mediterranean represents untapped potential for faster tourism development. Therefore, we want to stimulate the development of innovations in the field of food tourism by connecting and transferring knowledge. Encouraging creativity and innovation among all stakeholders with training in the environment in the field of tourism will also consequently lead to a faster, more efficient and better sustainable development of tourism, where we would like to minimize waste of ingredients during food preparation. At the end we want to create culinary destinations where food is the focus of the visit.

Main objectives:

Incorporate tourism into the circular economy through food
Strengthening innovation in the food and tourism industry
Introduction of advanced technologies in tourism
Promoting innovation and creativity in food tourism
