The Foundation for Innovation, Technology and Transfer of Knowledge (FITT) is a non-profit organization with a primary focus on creating better-paid jobs for young people by activating entrepreneurship and generating an innovative business atmosphere.
Our vision is to empower individuals and teams to work for peace and prosperity, as well as strengthening the economy in Western Balkans through social & technological innovation. We aim to enable people in the Western Balkans to succeed. To create new, better paid jobs for young and/or experienced people. To activate entrepreneurship and generate an innovative business atmosphere.
We provide training in advanced technologies like automation and robotics, and we help professionalize skills. We qualify young companies for internationalization and support startups to scale up fast.
FITT strives to contribute to overcoming the main challenges in the areas of:
Priority 1 – A Smarter Mediterranean
Specific objective 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies
Priority 2 – A Greener Mediterranean
Specific objective 2.6: Promoting the transition to a circular and resource efficient economyFITT brings expertise and experiences gained from its participation in various projects. We have actively contributed as project partner to the Interreg Danube Peer Chains project, which focused on increasing competencies for business and social innovation.
At the moment, FITT is a project partner on three Interreg Danube Region projects:
– DECORATOR (Danubians Cradle-to-Cradle Architecture and construction processes)
– Plan C (Moving PLastics and mAchine iNdustry towards Circularity)
– Spin IT (Boosting smart specialization and encouraging Spin-offs in IT across Danube Region)
