The Chamber of Commerce of Zenica-Doboj Canton (CC ZDC) is private non-profit institution with legal personality (business support organization). We are located in Bosnia and Herzegovina and looking to join partnership as IPA project partner.

CC ZDC was inaugurated in 1999 and defined by the Law of Chambers of Commerce in the Federation of BiH (Federation of BiH, Official Gazette No. 35/98 and 34/03) and by the Statute of CC ZDC (ZDC, Official Gazette No. 6/99, 4/02, 7/06, 6/12, 3/15 and 20/22). CC ZDC is defined by law as an independent, non-profit association of legal entities and individuals engaged in economic activities. Therefore, the CC ZDC is involved, in addition to commerce, also in industry and all other economic activities.

CC ZDC has more than 15 years of experience in the implementation of governmental funded, domestic and abroad-funded projects. CC ZDC has already implemented several EU-funded projects. It possesses human and financial resources for the implementation of different projects and developed a network of experts from Ministries, Local Development Agencies, the University of Zenica, the Tourist Board, Museums, Cultural institutions, NGOs, SMEs, media, etc.

• Creation of professional and scientific research studies;
• Education and employment of the unemployed labour force in accordance with the needs of the companies;

CC ZDC is the legal partner to the relevant bodies of executive and administrative authority in representing the interests of legal entities and individuals engaged in economic activity in Zenica-Doboj Canton in the preparation and adoption of laws and regulations of interest related to economy, preparation, adoption and implementation of development strategies. CC ZDC also proposes measures to improve exports of goods and services, promote the economy locally and abroad, educate personnel necessary for the economy, and exercise public authority in accordance with special regulations.

Project teams and staff: CC ZDC has 6 full time employees (4 employees with previous experience in implementation of EU funded projects).

Most important previous project experience in last 3 years:
1. Enhancing the Framework for Sustainable TVET, with Focus on Green Transformation.
CC ZDC is Lead partner. Project is funded by GIZ Germany. Period of implementation: 01/2024 – 01/2026.
2. Active employment measures (professional training and employment of adults) in ZDC in 2023.
CC ZDC is Lead partner. Project is funded by: the Federal Institute for Employment, and the Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees of ZDC. Period of implementation: 05/2023 – 12/2023.
3. Expansion of the EBRD’s Private Sector Youth Initiative (PSYI) to Bosnia and Herzegovina; Phase 2 Zenica-Doboj Canton.
CC ZDC is Lead partner. Project is funded by EBRD and supported by Taiwanbusiness – EBRD Technical Cooperation Fund. Period of implementation: 11/2022 – 05/2024.
4. Active employment measures (professional training and employment of adults) in ZDC in 2022.
CC ZDC is Lead partner. Project is funded by: the Federal Institute for Employment, and the Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees of ZDC. Period of implementation: 05/2022 – 12/2022.
5. Improving the Framework Conditions for the Integration of Dual Organized Vocational Education in ZDC (II phase).
CC ZDC is Lead partner. Project is funded by GIZ Germany. Period of implementation: 06/2022 – 05/2023.
6. Management of school waste – synergy of secondary vocational schools and utility companies.
CC ZDC was Lead partner. Project was funded by Ministry of City Planning, Communication, Traffic & Environment of ZDC. Period of implementation: 09/2022 – 01/2023.
7. Improving the Framework Conditions for the Integration of Dual Organized Vocational Education in ZDC.
CC ZDC was Lead partner. Project was funded by GIZ Germany. Period of implementation: 06/2021 – 05/2022.
8. Through Synergy to an Improved Access to Job Opportunities in Zenica-Doboj Canton.
CC ZDC was Lead partner.
Project was funded by Swiss Foundation Helvetas. Period of implementation: 02/2020 – 03/2021.
9. Building of quality standard of adult education of cantonal chambers of commerce.
CC ZDC was Project partner.
