The Center for Development of the Pelagonija planning region (CRPPR) is a legal entity, established by the units of local self-government comprising the Pelagonija planning region- Bitola, Prilep, Krusevo, Resen, Demir Hisar, Mogila, Novaci, Dolneni and Krivogastani.
The Law on Balanced Regional Development (Official Gazette of RM no. 63/07) defines the basic framework of the policy for balanced regional development in the country and prescribes the planning documents for its implementation. Article 5 of the Law regulates the establishing of planning regions in the Republic of Macedonia as functional territorial units for development planning needs and implementation of measures and instruments for stimulating regional development.
The planning regions match the statistical regions determined with the nomenclature of territorial statistical units NUTS 3 (Official Gazette of RM no. 158/2007), in order to provide a statistical basis for planning the regions’ development.
CDPPR prepares the Program proposal for development of the planning region and the action plan proposal for implementation of the development Program of the planning region.
CDPPR prepares project proposals for development of the planning region and for the areas with specific developmental needs. It coordinates the activities related to the implementation of the development Program of the planning region and realizes the projects for development of the planning region. It also promotes the developmental opportunities of the planning region.CRPPR provides information to interested parties about the realization of the development Program of the planning region and other questions related to regional development. It also provides expert and technical assistance for the units of local self-government during the preparations of their development programs, and provides expert services to citizen associations and other interested parties in preparation of projects in the area of regional development.
Further, CRPPR stimulates inter-municipal cooperation in the frames of planning development and implements projects for stimulation of the development of the planning region, financed by EU funds and other international sources.CDPPR also does expert and administrative-technical work for the needs of the Council for development of the planning region.
CDPPR has huge experience with EU and CBC project, has implemented more than 120 projects, with national and international funds of more than 10 different donors, with overall portfolio of over 7 million Euros.
CDPPR has so far implemented 6 IPA financed projects out of which 6 were implemented within the Cross Border Program with Greece and 1 was implemented within the framework of the Balkan Mediterranean Program:

– CROSS BORDER COMPLEX FLOODS AND FOREST FIRES PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT -SOLVE
– Smart rural enterprenuership – SMART RURALThe focus of our activities and projects is set on achievement on the regional priorities and strategic goals set out in the Programme for development of Pelagonija planning region 2021 – 2026, the highest regional strategic document brought according to the Rulebook on implementation of strategic national documents of the Ministry for local self-government. Strategic Objective 2 – Encouraging social, educational, cultural and health inclusiveness
Strategic objective 3 – Improving the quality of life of population through mutual and international investments connectivity, utility and energy infrastructure
Strategic objective 4 – Sustainable agriculture and better quality of life in rural areas
Strategic objective 5 – Protection and improvement of the environment.
The past experience of the institution of above 120 implemented regional projects of different types and scopes have worked on improvement of the conditions in the different prioritized sectors such as: infrastructure, civil protection, biodiversity promotion, environment protection, agriculture, economic development, social inclusion, healthcare etc have so far contributed to establishment of the Center for development of Pelagonija region to a regional stakeholder networking the private, public and civil sector into a sustainable platform for promotion the regional development widely recognizable and visible on a national and international level. -
