We are the Ecological Transition Area of “Diputación de Badajoz”, the provincial government of the province of Badajoz, Extremadura (Spain). Diputación de Badajoz promotes the economic development and the environmental sustainability, as well as the energy transition to renewable sources and the energy efficiency at local level in 165 municipalities (rural areas) and is the coordinator of the Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy in the province.
The Ecological Transition Area is responsible for the design and implementation of policies in the area of climate change mitigation, pollution prevention, protection of natural heritage and biodiversity, urban environment and green infrastructure, as well as energy for the transition to a greener productive and social model, assistance to municipalities in the area of energy efficiency and management, sustainable mobility and environmental education.
The main challenges of the province are extreme heat waves, droughts, biodiversity loss, depopulation, rural sustainable mobility…
We are interested in joining a partnership as partners to work on waste prevention and reduction in rural areas in the 5th Call.
We have a wide experience in European projects, such as “My building is green” (LIFE), BIOTRANS, LOCALCIR and TRANSCOM (POCTEP). We can send our PIF under request.

management of international projects on waste management and prevention.
It has set up the Regional Waste Management Plan and the Regional Waste Prevention Plan within, manages the plan financial resources, approves the calls, defines the evaluation and priority criteria of
the projects and defines the indicators for monitoring the impact of the implemented actions.

Regional Council of Marche Region Is manager of the Regional Waste Management Plan (RWMP) includes the Regional Program of Waste Prevention (RPWP) of Region Marche covers municipal and special waste.Marche Region could be interested in joining a partnership as partners to a proposal on waste prevention and reduction in rural/mountain areas in the 5th Call, focusing on reuse demolition waste in a n internal area affected by a big hearthquake in 2016.
