Municipality of Kamza, Albania
The Municipality of Kamza, located in central Albania and ranked among the largest municipalities in the country, expresses its interest in joining a project consortium under the Interreg Euro-MED Programme – Green Living Areas Mission, with the aim of contributing to sustainable urban development and promoting innovative solutions for the green transition.
In this context, the Municipality is interested in developing a pilot project for the installation of photovoltaic systems in public buildings or spaces, with the aim of increasing the use of renewable energy, reducing electricity costs, and minimising environmental impact. Through this pilot investment, the Municipality aims to assess the tangible economic and environmental benefits of solar energy use, creating a sustainable model that can serve as a basis for expanding similar investments to other public buildings and spaces in the future.
The Municipality of Kamza welcomes cooperation with other municipalities, public authorities, universities, research institutions, and environmental organisations to develop and implement a joint project that supports energy efficiency, environmental protection, and sustainable development objectives across the Euro-MED region.
We would be very interested in exploring whether there is still room for the Municipality of Kamza in the emerging partnership.
