The 2025 REGIOSTARS competition is now open, seeking outstanding EU-funded projects that have made a positive impact on regional development.
If your project has created local benefits: economically, socially, or environmentally, and has lasting results, it may be eligible to compete. Projects can be submitted via the EU Survey REGIOSTARS application form by 20 May 2025.
The competition includes five categories based on cohesion policy objectives:
- A Competitive and Smart Europe
- A Green Europe
- A Connected Europe
- A Social and Inclusive Europe
- A Europe Closer to the Citizens
A jury of experts will evaluate the projects, with winners announced during the EURegionsWeek in October. In addition to recognition, winners will receive a mini-promotion campaign for their project.
Applications must be submitted through EU Survey and can be made in any EU official language. The full application details, including guides, FAQs, and required templates, are available through this link: More information

Please note that only completed projects are eligible. A completed project is a project, which has concluded on all planned activities, has received its final financial contribution and the project has been declared closed by the project beneficiary and/or the Managing Authority.
If you want to participate, please contact the Joint Secretariat before, as the application form shall be accompanied by the endorsement letter, signed by the Managing Authority.
Don’t miss the chance to showcase your project!
