Meet our newest IVY Reporter

08/10/2025
IVY (« Interreg Volunteer Youth ») is an initiative by the European Commission that started in 2017. It gives young people aged between 18 and 30 years old the opportunity to be a volunteer within the organisations that make European cooperation possible.

The Interreg Euro-MED Programme supports the IVY initiative and welcomed Sarah Chaouch, a new IVY Reporter, this week. During the next six months, she will work within the communication unit to boost the visibility of cooperation in the Mediterranean. In line with the Programme’s objectives of making the region smarter and greener, she will focus on increasing young people’s involvement in its actions.

With a background in euro-mediterranean cooperation, project management and communication, Sarah has decided to become an IVY to acquire new skills and evolve but mostly to support across border cooperation for a more resilient Mediterranean.

“I am very thankful to be part of the Interreg Euro-MED team for the next few months and to join a Programme that puts the environment in the foreground by tackling the main climatic issues threatening the region and its inhabitants. I expect this volunteering opportunity to be a true steppingstone, allowing me to broaden my perspectives, strengthen my expertise, and thrive in a stimulating and multicultural setting.”
