UNITED NATIONS CLIMATE CHANGE
Interreg MED Programme at COP27
From 6th to 18th November 2022, the Interreg MED Programme, together with UNIMED and the thematic communities from 2014-2020, was at the COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The Programme participated as a partner of the Mediterranean Pavilion, coordinated by the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).
The Mediterranean Pavilion welcomed many regional stakeholders actively engaged in fighting against climate change in the Mediterranean to highlight both the urgent challenges the region is currently facing, and the innovative solutions already being developed throughout the Mediterranean, raising awareness on the region.
Why participating?
The participation in this world-class event allowed the Programme to disseminate and capitalise on the achievements of the 2014-2020 programming period and to create new opportunities to pursue its missions within the framework of the 2021-2027 Interreg Euro-MED Programme.
Introduction by Renaud Muselier, President of the Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (Managing Authority of the Programme)
