We are International Development Agency – MARA (www.mara.hr), a consultancy agency from Varazdin, Croatia, and we are looking to join project consortia under Mission 2.7 Green Living Areas – Well-being and Health as a project partner.
Our team works at the intersection of climate action, sustainable development and public health. We can contribute to your project with:
-Strategy development: local and regional development, climate and sustainability strategies
-Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs): preparation, updating and implementation support for municipalities and regions
-Integrating health into climate adaptation: embedding health and well-being components into climate change adaptation strategies, spatial planning and other planning tools
-Participatory processes: designing and facilitating workshops with stakeholders and citizens, co-creation and community engagement
-Climate risk monitoring: developing indicators and monitoring frameworks for climate change risks, including heat stress, vulnerable groups and health-related impacts
We bring a solid track record: to date, our team has prepared dozens of SECAPs and more than 50 strategies for local and regional authorities. We are used to working with diverse stakeholders, and we can take on work package or activity leadership in our areas of expertise as well as pilot actions in Croatia.
