Paola SabbionParticipantUNIVERSITY OF GENOA – LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE (dAD) Architecture and Design Department) Looking for partners to build an Interreg Euro-MED consortium – Green Living Areas
Dear colleagues,
we are looking for partners and potential coordinators to jointly develop a project proposal under the Interreg Euro-MED Green Living Areas Mission.
Our interest is focused on Mediterranean urban and peri-urban resilience, with particular attention to:green and blue infrastructure;
nature-based solutions;
climate adaptation;
urban biodiversity and ecosystem services;
climate-resilient vegetation and sustainable green-space management;
spatial analysis, GIS and territorial assessment;
urban and peri-urban planning;
pilot actions and transfer of scientific knowledge into local policies and practices.Our aim is to build a multidisciplinary consortium combining universities and research organisations with municipalities, public authorities and other territorial actors, so that scientific approaches can be tested through concrete pilot actions and translated into planning and management solutions.
We are therefore keen to hear from municipalities, regional authorities, universities, research institutes, environmental agencies, NGOs and other eligible organisations from the Euro-MED cooperation area interested in developing a joint proposal.
We would particularly welcome partners able to contribute pilot areas and real territorial challenges, as well as organisations with complementary expertise in climate resilience, biodiversity, urban regeneration, nature-based solutions and participatory approaches.
We are open both to joining an emerging consortium and to working together from the outset to build a new partnership and shape the project concept.
If interested, please contact us to discuss possible synergies, project ideas and potential roles in the consortium.
Kind regards,

Denisa SarajlicParticipantDear Paola,
We are reaching out on behalf of SKRIPTA, an SME from Bosnia and Herzegovina, regarding your emerging proposal on Green Living Areas, green and blue infrastructure, nature-based solutions and real territorial challenges.We see a particularly strong complementarity with the partnership you are building. SKRIPTA works at the intersection of local government, innovation, design thinking and human-centred design, helping municipalities turn concrete urban challenges into practical opportunities for co-creation, testing and real-life piloting.
We could contribute by bringing municipal pilot territories and real local challenges, particularly around small-scale green public-space interventions, shade and thermal comfort, green and blue connections, accessibility and community use. We can also help connect municipalities with SMEs, innovators, academia and technical partners through challenge-based co-design and innovation sprints, and support the testing and uptake of solutions developed within the consortium.
This could provide a practical bridge between the consortium’s landscape, environmental and technical expertise and the everyday needs of municipalities and users.
We would be very interested to explore whether there is still room for this role in the emerging partnership.
Best regards,
SKRIPTA

Simona AprileParticipantDear Paola,
Although I believe you may be looking for an international partner, I would nevertheless like to submit the candidature of CREA Research Centre for Plant Protection and Certification (CREA-DC), Palermo, Italy for your project idea, as we could effectively represent the Mediterranean area within the partnership.
Our Centre has more than 15 years of experience in extensive green roof systems aimed at improving building energy efficiency and climate adaptation, as well as in the selection and evaluation of plant species for sustainable urban green spaces under Mediterranean conditions.
In addition, CREA-DC can provide scientific expertise, experimental infrastructures and pilot areas for testing Nature-Based Solutions, with specific competencies in Mediterranean biodiversity, ecosystem services, climate-resilient urban greening and healing gardens.
We would be pleased to explore possible synergies and discuss how our expertise could support your project proposal.
Kind regards,
Dr Simona Aprile
