Our research group, in the Department of Public health, at the University of Turin, Italy, is available as a project partner in Interreg Euro-MED Call 8 consortia under SO 2.7 – Green Living Areas.
We investigate the urban aerobiome in relation to meteorological and climatic variables and chemical air pollution, linking environmental microbiology with human exposure and public health.
Our contribution includes bioaerosol sampling, culture-based and molecular characterisation, and integrated data analysis to support the evaluation of pilot interventions, including green infrastructure and nature-based solutions.
We seek collaboration with municipalities, environmental and health agencies, and research institutions to develop harmonised monitoring protocols and assess outcomes relevant to healthier, more resilient urban environments.
