About ABD:
ABD is a Spanish non-profit organization with over 40 years of experience in social intervention, community health, and environmental justice, supporting over 160,000 individuals annually across 130+ programs. As an integrated socio-health entity, we bridge social inclusion, public health, energy poverty, and territorial resilience in close collaboration with public authorities and local communities.

We are looking to join a consortium as a Project Partner for Call 08 – Mission 3: Green Living Areas in the following key focus areas:
1. Wellbeing and Health in Living Areas (expertise in health inequalities, climate adaptation, and community-based participatory processes)
– Climate Adaptation & Energy Poverty: Expertise in measuring and mitigating climate/heatwave impacts on vulnerable groups through EU projects such as Cooltorise, POWGEN, ClimateReady, and managing Barcelona’s Energy Advice Points (PAE).
– Health, Housing & Inclusive Governance: Projects such as Home4Health (health promotion for people in a situation of homelessness), Global Districts, and Comunitat Activa (citizen-led local participation and inclusion)

2. Urban Agriculture and Resilient Food Systems
– Food Security & Local Governance: Initiatives such as La Botiga (EU Food Security Hub) and Agri 4 Integration ensure dignified access to fresh local food, sustainable food practices, training, and integration into local networks.
– Therapeutic & Urban Agriculture: Jardí Fènix combines urban farming and therapeutic occupation for social regeneration, mental health, and community cohesion.

Role & Added Value: ABD offers full capacity to deploy real-scale pilot actions across Spain, mobilize communities, engage local/regional authorities, and lead participatory processes. We collaborate closely with public administrations, including the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB), Diputació de Barcelona, and Ajuntament del Prat de Llobregat.
