The Veneto Film Commission is a non-profit foundation established by the Veneto Region, which is its founding member. The Foundation works to promote Veneto as a preferred destination for film and audiovisual productions, offering concrete support to Italian and international operators interested in carrying out projects in the area. Through its activities, the Veneto Film Commission contributes to the development of the regional audiovisual industry, encouraging the enhancement of local professionals, the creation of new job opportunities, and the spread of Veneto’s image around the world.
The Foundation offers free assistance services during pre-production and filming phases, facilitates relations with local authorities, institutions, and administrations, and provides a large database of professionals, production companies, actors, crew, and locations in the area. The Veneto Film Commission Foundation is a member of IFC – Italian Film Commissions and of EUCFN – European Film Commissions Network.
The aim of the VFC is to encourage mutual understanding between local areas and local businesses, to promote a sustainable approach to film and television production – particularly in protected areas – and to foster a culture of audiovisual media as a means of raising awareness of local places and regenerative tourism.
