The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region has been reappointed as the Managing Authority of the Interreg Euro-MED programme for the period 2028–2034
Renewed confidence from Member States
The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region has been unanimously reappointed as the Managing Authority for the Interreg Euro-MED programme for the period 2028–2034 by the programme’s 14 partner states.
This decision confirms the Member States’ confidence and recognises the role the Region has played since 2007 in implementing, coordinating and facilitating transnational cooperation in the Mediterranean.
Preparation for future programming
The decision to reappoint the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region as Managing Authority and Joint Secretariat was adopted at the Task Force meeting dedicated to preparing for the 2028–2034 programming period, held on 21 April 2026 in Tirana, Albania.
Preparatory work is already underway to define the programme’s future direction and strengthen its contribution to cooperation in the Mediterranean, with a view to its implementation as soon as the new regulations are adopted.
Towards a more sustainable Mediterranean
The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region will continue to ensure the effective and transparent implementation of the programme, working towards a smarter, greener and better-governed Mediterranean area.
