The Province of Lucca (local public authority, Tuscany -IT https://www.provincia.lucca.it/) is working on a project proposal on the restoration of fire-affected areas and the resilience of woods and forests to this risk.
The project aims at developing and testing solutions to prevent and mitigate fire-risks. To this extent we look for a project partner who have competence in forest management and thus carry out reforestation interventions in their areas.
We are looking for partners from:
Portugal (Algarve region)

Bosnia Herzegovina
MontenegroThe Province of Lucca have a solid experience in project writing and management under the European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) transborder or transnational Programmes, with more than 40 projects funded, both as leader and partner.

King ICT is a private company from Zagreb/Croatia that deals with the development of SW and HW in the field of public safety, especially related to traffic, water, forests and others. On the Croatian highways, we installed early smoke and fire detection systems in the tunnels.

Solutopus, Lda. is a Portuguese SME located at Alentejo (eligible and close to Algarve region).
In Portugal, fires and the restoration of burned areas are a considerable problem, extending to the centre and north of the country. We are not experts in restoration, but we have a close relationship with a University that works on soil and related matters and with a Portuguese forest producers association. These factors could support the improvement of the solutions and their acceptance by practitioners.
We could be interested in this proposal and contribute with our socioeconomic expertise. The best,
Ana Ventura -
