Dear Marta,
EDIA – Empresa de Desenvolvimento e Infra-estruturas do Alqueva’s, main mission is to design, execute, build and operate the Alqueva Dam and Multi-Purpose Enterprise (EFMA), contributing to the promotion of the economic and social development of its area of intervention, which correspond to 20 municipalities in the districts of Beja, Évora, Portalegre and Setúbal, in Portugal.
The sustainability of the Alqueva system and the corresponding irrigation is one of EDIA’s main guiding values, and for which its relationship with its beneficiary farmers is essential. The Department of Environmental and Heritage Impacts has developed work in the area of awareness, training and implementation of measures that enhance the compatibility of natural values with agricultural exploitation in the region.
In this sense, we are interested in being part of the consortium to develop projects in the area of ecological connectivity. We find the project very interesting and would be happy to be a partner. We are available for any further information via the following e-mail address: lpinto@edia.pt
Best regards,

I am writing to you on behalf of King ICT, a private company from Zagreb, Croatia, that intensively deals with the sustainable development of urban canters and ICT solutions in traffic, which is one of the most significant causes of temperature increase in cities. We have implemented our solutions in the largest Croatian guards and on Croatian highways, and we have a lot of knowledge in solving environmental urban challenges.
Our added value is a complete understanding of traffic, public transport, floods, fires, and public space security, and we develop software and hardware for these situations.
We can make a strong contribution to the sustainable transport connection of urban and suburban areas. We would like to implement some of the sustainable transport solutions that have a significant impact on the preservation of cultural objects and the improvement of the quality of life in the Euro MED region.
We would like to join you in a project partnership, and we can easily add other interested partners if needed.
For further information you can contact me on email: marina.pavlic@king-ict.eu.
Kind regards, Marina29/04/2024 at 16:00 #24932Milena ZarbàParticipantGood afternoon Marta,

Dott.ssa Milena Zarbà30/04/2024 at 10:41 #24976Darko VujovićParticipantDear Marta,
We are interested in topics such as improving ecological connectivity which is very relevant in the area of Sarajevo Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina, since as in any other urban area facing similar challenges of habitat fragmentation and biodiversity loss. The city of Sarajevo with a status as one of the most visited tourist centers in the South-east Europe undoubtedly face challenges in terms of managing ecological connectivity and biodiversity conservation. In the same time, the under-managed and under-valuated rural areas of the Canton as an invaluable reservoir of biodiversity, with endemic species and unique ecosystems are in need for protection and sustainable management. The constant increase of tourists’ influx, rapid urbanization, infrastructure expansion, recreational activities etc. – all impact natural habitats and wildlife populations. The Chamber of Economy of Sarajevo Canton worked on the strategic documents for the development of rural areas in the Sarajevo Canton and would be very happy to join the consortium you intend to form for the development of your project proposal. The Chamber has experience in implementing EU projects, and if you think we can be a good partner from Bosnia and Herzegovina, please contact us at darkov@pksa.ba
Kind regards,

I’m a research director of the National Council Research of Italy (CNR), with experience in Earth Observation and remote sensing technologies. CNR could provide extensive analyses on the state of Earth’s surface and its changes, using a refined set of environmental indicators based on Sentinel data characterizing the state of vulnerability/adaptability to climate-induced disasters (e.g., land deterioration, extreme weather events, drought, inundations, surface deformations). If you consider this expertise an added value for your project proposal contact me here or at pepe.a@irea.cnr.it.
Kind regards
Antonio
