CREAF is a public research centre in Catalonia, focussing on terrestrial ecology and global change.

For CALL5 we’d like to join a consortium with two research groups available.
The Water and global change unit to contribute on topics related to water management policies and practices, as well as governance for adaptation (strategies, management options, co-creation processes, and so on) , and the GRUMETS group, focussing on spatial analysis, geostatistics applied to remote sensing (RS) and to climate time series, innovative algorithms in RS processing and RS applications to land cover dynamics and monitoring of water resources.

CREAF’s expertise in water management policies and advanced remote sensing is a strong fit for CALL5. Potential partners could include universities with environmental science programs like Wageningen University, or institutes such as the European Environment Agency. Also consider tech providers like ESA for satellite data and tools like Google Earth Engine for spatial analysis. Collaborations with policy-focused NGOs could strengthen governance aspects. Have you explored these or similar organizations to complement CREAF’s strengths?
