Our capitalisation approach

Our capitalisation approach at Interreg Euro-MED is simple: spread good ideas, encourage their use in policies and everyday life, and bring people together to collaborate.
Accordingly, our Results Amplification Strategy has been designed to more effectively achieve three key objectives:
- Facilitate the sharing and reuse of our project results
- Encourage their transfer and integration into policies
- Strengthen coordination between Mediterranean stakeholders.
By sharing what we’ve learned, we aim to make the most of the results of our projects and create long-lasting positive changes across the region!

Results library

To facilitate the sharing and reuse of project results, we are currently crafting our online Projects Results Library.
This collection of valuable insights, best practices, and proven solutions is set to be an insightful inspiration for all partners and stakeholders committed to innovating for a more sustainable Mediterranean.

Mediterranean coordination
Strengthening coordination and cooperation between Mediterranean stakeholders is the very purpose of our programme and capitalisation approach at Interreg Euro-MED. And what’s better than working alongside other Mediterranean organisations to improve governance in our territories to make them greener, smarter and more open?
Here are the main organisations we work most closely with and our joint initiatives:
Union for the Mediterranean (UfM)

The UfM labelling of the Interreg Euro-MED 2021-2027 dialogue-based governance approach recognises the quality of coordination and networking initiatives put in place to promote policy dialogue and exchange of experience. Interreg Euro-MED’s main UfM involvement takes place through two platforms and working groups: the UfM Regional Platform on Sustainable Blue Economy and the UfM Regional Platform on Environment and Climate Action. Last but not least, both organisations co-organise the annual event “MED Talks” to promote dialogue between the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean. EU Programmes : Interreg/Interact, Horizon, LIFE
Coordination with other Interreg and Interact programmes takes place regularly to:
- Share experiences in their own areas of cooperation, with local and national authorities or in the framework of thematic working groups,
- Increase synergies between projects at the application stage through exchanges with Interreg (particularly in the Mediterranean area and with IPA countries), PRIMA/HORIZON and LIFE programmes.
- Foster connections between projects, support the scalability of successful solutions and strengthen policy recommendations, especially in sustainable tourism, a Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mecanisme has been in place since 2022 and now consists of 7 Interreg Programmes.
Macro-Regional Strategies: EUSAIR, EUSALP, EUSDR
Through participation in information and knowledge transfer events, regular coordination activities and exchanges take place with macro-regional strategies present in the Programme area.
